We have just returned from 2 weeks of traveling. 2800 miles. By car.
3 destinations.
One with kids + dogs + cat;
One with kids + dogs;
One with just kids.
We began our travels with a sense of adventure.
A tiny bit surprisingly, we all returned with smiles.
We saw wildlife, intentionally, cautiously and unintentionally; we saw mountain ranges (Sierras and Siskiyous); we visited family, on both sides, in 2 different states; we visited microbreweries in Oregon and California; we danced and listened to lots of live music, we roller skated; we went to a minor league baseball game; Sophie Jane was in a parade; we slept in a caboose; we communed with hippies. Our cup runneth over.
Everyone (even the baby) traveled well. We found ourselves in fact savoring the trip. Having the time was a gift we didn’t squander. Enjoying each other’s company was a gift we savored.
